SMART Trigger

SMART TRIGGER ™ uses a proprietary software algorithm unique in the ventilation market which continuously assesses flow and pressure patterns in a way that patient efforts are detected and responded to even in the presence of varying and very large leaks.
Unlike other non-conventional triggers, it is unique in that it is unaffected by leak making it the ideal trigger type during non-invasive ventilation.
As it is not a “fixed” level trigger (like flow/pressure triggers), it can detect patient efforts even when flow is still negative and therefore performs exceptionally well with obstructive conditions such as COPD compared to traditional triggers
SMART TRIGGER™ also detects very shallow breaths such as neonates* allowing synchronized nasal NIPPV*
